Understanding the right mindset to beat procrastination.
“We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret”
– Jim Rohn
The pain of discipline is temporary, but the pain of regret stays with you forever.
Just think of it like this – You have an intense workout; the pain and soreness will be there for a day or two, but the gains you get from it will stay.
Similarly, if you play video games for hours, at the moment, you will feel enjoyment and instant gratification, but in the long run, you might regret that the time could have been utilized for something more productive.
I’m sure you’ve experienced this before; it’s normal—it’s a part of human nature, and we’ve all been there.
But in the end, we’ll be left with the consequences of our actions. If you work out every day, you’ll have a great physique, but if you sit there eating junk food and skipping work, you’ll be unfit and broke…

Short-Term Steps –
Just Take Action!
The first and most crucial step is to just start.
Just get started, no matter how much or little you do.
You don’t often do things because you’re afraid of not doing them perfectly or up to standard.
So take it easy on yourself and just take the first step.
Create a Checklist –
Once you get the momentum going just think of the end goal for the day and break it down into small and actionable steps.
It doesn’t matter if the steps are as small as cleaning the desk, just write it down.
Once you start completing the small tasks one by one it incrementally boosts motivation.
Minimize Distractions
Anything that distracts you, it could be your phone, TV, or anything just put everything aside for just a few hours.
Right after that, just take a moment to visualize yourself completing the task.

And purely devote your time to the work.
Reward Yourself for Progress
Reward yourself every time you complete a task.
It could be just cleaning your table, regardless of how small the task might be you need to reward yourself.
You need to take pride in what you are accomplishing.
A reward system serves as motivation, boosts confidence, and instills a sense of accomplishment.
